Wednesday, June 27th, 2007Well it has been a busy summer so far, and I must say I’ve been feeling a little stressed lately. It is hard to wear lots of hats and wear them well. If there was only more time in the day… The band has been working on putting the next couple shows together, Benson is growing faster all the time-almost 19 pounds now, and work has been busy also. It’s funny how easy it is for me to make waste of what little free time I have. Don’t know if you all feel the same way or not. I find that sometimes I let the most important things slip a little too much-things such as being intentional with my wife and son, spending time reflecting on my own heart, and just enjoying the little things around me. I guess I’ve just realized that I may not know myself even as well as I think I do… It’s so easy to live life on the surface when I’m busy, which strips away the joy of knowing people and them knowing me, not to mention making even good pursuits seem less compelling. We as people weren’t made to never get beyond the surface of our lives and I am realizing that more and more right now as I pursue a dream that seems a little scary at times with these 5 great men. So here is some encouragement to take a little time to explore whats under your busyness.
Saturday, June 23rd, 2007We’ve gotten reports that the CDs that were sold at the Clay Center show are having some problems. So for all of you out there that bought a CD at the show, send us a quick e-mail via our contact form with your name and mailing address, and we’ll send you a new one as soon as we fix the problem. Thanks all for coming out to the show and sorry for any headaches this caused (including ours!).

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007Well, it’s been an interesting couple of weeks. This band thing is tough to gauge sometimes. Sometimes it feels like a lot is happening, and then a day later it feels like nothing. I feel like the band has sort of reached the point where we’ve done everything that we’re already comfortable and familiar with, but now we’re entering into unexplored territories. Things like press kits, booking shows, cover charges, etc… are all new ground. We’re moving out of the what then and into the what now if that makes sense. This is one of my favorite things about the band though. I love new things, even if its something as small as getting bumper stickers. But at times its a little overwhelming. There’s so many odds and ends to take care of and I’m starting a new job in a week which will severely restrict my MR think and work time. On a seperate note I’m stoked about really playing some shows. Playing shows really helps fuel the excitement for everyone involved, so come out and watch us!
